Nuggets WP is a tool I’ve always wished existed in the WordPress ecosystem — but to my knowledge, it doesn’t. So, I decided to build it myself.

As a marketer who builds websites and landing pages without relying on developers (who are often busy working on the core product), I sometimes run into roadblocks when trying to implement certain UI features. Page builders and no-code tools like Elementor can’t always handle these requirements by default.

When that happens, I search for tutorials online. Most of these solutions involve adding small code snippets here and there, but the tutorials are scattered across the internet. Worse, when I want to reuse a snippet later, I often can’t find it again. Sometimes the source has disappeared because the author abandoned their site, the domain expired, Google de-indexed the article, or YouTube removed the video.

In other cases, I can’t find a tutorial at all. This problem had been on my mind until I discovered codecrumbs.co, a small platform where Webflow developers share code snippets to help non-technical Webflow users achieve features they otherwise couldn’t. It was a real Eureka moment — I realized this was exactly what I needed to create for the WordPress community, to help marketers, designers, and other non-developers like me.

Nuggets WP will be a platform where WordPress developers contribute code “nuggets” — small, ready-to-use snippets — that other WordPress users can apply to build better websites.

Benefits for developers:

  • Increased exposure for their tutorial videos, as each submission must include an embedded video explaining how to use the code.

  • The option to link to a “done-for-you” template for users who prefer not to follow the tutorial themselves.

  • An opportunity to attract paid gigs from non-technical users who need hands-on technical support for their sites.

In short, Nuggets WP will connect developers who can create advanced WordPress features with the non-technical users who need them, making WordPress more powerful and accessible for everyone.

Project Status

This project is at the ideation and planning stage. I will start working on this project as soon as I finish building Classfolio.

My Role in the Project

As usual, I will build this product entirely on my own, using WordPress as the foundation. I will take design inspiration and guidance from codecrumbs.co.

Note: My side projects do not interfere with my full-time job. I work on them only on weekends, making steady progress without affecting my main responsibilities.
