About Me

Hi there…

I am Bello, a Marketing Communications Manager (sometimes described as a Digital Content Manager, though I know it’s not entirely the same, as I have managed communications beyond the digital space).

I have a strong interest in product marketing and business development. If I were to transition from content and communications, I would pursue a career in these areas.

As a research, strategy, and management generalist, I thrive on variety rather than narrow specialization. This drive has led me to work across multiple roles in the communications industry, enabling me to develop diverse skills and gain valuable experience. Over the past six to seven years, I have worked in SEO, copywriting, social media management, online and offline community management, website design and web content management (WordPress), and, most importantly, web project management.

As a marketing team member, I collaborate with writers, designers, and the product team to oversee the creation of content and communication assets used across all of an organization’s digital channels to achieve various organizational goals, including customer education, acquisition, community building, and general publicity and reputation management.

I also directly use and manage some of the channels of publishing and distribution of content (e.g, website, social media accounts, email, forums, and job boards).

I provided all levels of strategic communications and operations support to the different stakeholders in the organization(i.e the CEO, People & Operations Manager and the Project Manager).

2022 – 2023


I conducted in-depth research on social media marketing trends, benchmarking Barn2's strategies against competitors and identifying new opportunities for community growth. I optimized website’s SEO by implementing meta tags across 15+ pages and 100+ posts, enhanced website accessibility with alt text for 400+ blog posts and product pages, and assisted in topic clustering. I collaborated with the video producer to research high-performing YouTube content, refining video strategies with keyword research via VidIQ. Additionally, I drafted email campaigns for user re-engagement and plugin license renewals while providing Level 1 customer support via Helpscout, resolving inquiries, and escalating complex issues to ensure seamless customer experiences.

I spearheaded community engagement for Orbis86, ensuring an active and scam-free Discord server while educating members on NFT, crypto, DEI, and Web3. I led strategic growth initiatives, increasing the community by 500% through giveaways and collaborations, while managing and scaling the company’s Twitter presence by nearly 250% via content creation, outreach, and influencer partnerships.

I did keyword research, wrote content briefs and outlines, managed freelance writers and optimized their articles for target keywords or keyphrases.
Published articles that ranked on the first page of the SERP and drove tens of thousands of organic page views from Google (as of the first few months of publication).

Over the past six to seven years, I’ve worked full time and contract roles in media, technology, e-commerce and web-3 where communication plays a key role.

I’m currently available for both full-time and part-time remote engagements, depending on your business needs. I also support retainer-based and project-based contracts. Let’s discuss the arrangement that works best for you.

I’m based in Nigeria (GMT+1) and flexible with time zones. I’ve successfully supported clients in North America, Europe, and the Middle East — often adjusting my schedule to align with their peak hours.
